Session 4

How to talk about doctors

In this session, we discuss medical specialists.
I think this would be the shortest session ever. Not that I am complaining- because, when you start writing it in the morning after you come to office, it’s a welcome relief. :)

Need someone who understands the female reproductive system? Visit a
Gynaecologist

Just had a baby? You need someone to deliver the baby and take care of the mother. Go to an Obstetrician

Your child is ill? You don’t know what to feed him/her. Don’t worry, visit a Paediatrician. He is a child specialist and will take care of childhood maladies, the diets of infants et al.

Got a skin disease? Get hold of a skin specialist – Dermatologist

Eye problems: need glasses? Contracted an eye disease? Go to an eye specialist – Ophthamologist

Got a fractured bone or a dislocated hip? Visit a bone specialist – Orthopaedist

Heart problems? Go to a Cardiologist

Brain disorders, spinal or nervous system problems? Are you listening, Mr Harshal Mehra? Go to a Neurologist

HCL not giving you enough money? Don’t like your PM? CAT intimidates you? Visit a Psychiatrist to alleviate all mental and emotional disturbances/stress.

I guess Fellow Gyaanis would be aware of all these terms.
So people, that’s it for the day. Lage raho!

One more thing..

Somebody who measures your vision and is specialised in that...
is an optometrist...

and i guess a gynaecologist does more than treating the female reproductive system... he takes care of evrything pertaining to female disorders...I think
